Permanent Residence
You can become a permanent resident of Canada by applying for and being granted a permanent resident visa that allows you to remain in Canada indefinitely. Permanent residents have most of the right of Canadian Citizens except they do not have right to vote or run for political office and cannot hold some jobs that need a high-level security clearance. A student or a temporary foreign worker is not a permanent resident. As a permanent resident, you have right to have healthcare coverage like any Canadian citizens. Also, you could work, study, or live anywhere in Canada and have right to sponsor your family members.
Here are the popular immigration options for those aspiring to become Canadian Permanent Residents:
- Provincial Nominee Programs
- Express Entry for Federal Skilled Workers, Federal Skilled Trades and Canadian Experience Class
- Family Sponsorships
- Business Immigration
- Self Employed
- Immigration to Quebec
We can help you to choose the right pathway for permanent residency of Canada, as per your individual or business needs.

Work Permits and LMIA
A foreign national usually needs a work permit to work in Canada. In some case, one can work without work permit. There are basically two types of work permits:
- Employer specific work permits
- Open Work Permits
Employer specific worker permit allows you to work as per conditions mentioned on the work permit, like:
- Name of the employer to work for
- Duration of the work permit
- Location of the employment
Open work permit allows you to work for any employer in Canada barring few exceptions. Spouse of international student or employer specific work permit holder could apply for an open work permit. After completing studies as an International student in Canada, one could apply for Post Graduate Work Permit. This PGWP is an open work permit and valid for a maximum duration of 3 years. The duration of the PG work permit is based on duration of diploma/degree completed from Designated Learning Institute (DLI).
A Canadian employer might need a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) before hiring a temporary foreign worker. A positive LMIA shows that there is a need for a foreign worker to fill a particular position. A positive LMIA is sometimes called a confirmation letter. The employer needs to apply for an LMIA, if they need one. Once an employer gets the LMIA, the worker can apply for a work permit.
Our team can help the employers in recruiting temporary foreign workers and guide the way into intricate LMIA process. We can also help the foreign workers in applying or renewing their work permits.
Study Permits
Canada is one of the most preferred destination for International students. Canadian Study Permit is a document that allows foreign national to study in Canada at Designated Learning Institute (DLI). Most of the foreign nationals need study permit to study in Canada barring few exceptions. One should apply for study permit before travelling to Canada, but study permit is not a visa. It does not let foreign national enter Canada. Along with study permit, one may need a visitor visa or electronic travel authorization (ETA) to enter Canada.
First step is to acquire an acceptance letter from the recognized Canadian institute. Our team will guide you to determine the proper school to attend and help in securing acceptance letter from the school. We can assist you in your study permit application after obtaining acceptance letter. After successful completion of study program with duration of more than 8 months, we could help you apply for Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) and recommend the suitable pathway for you to get Canadian permanent residence.
Visitor Visa and Super Visa
Visitor Visa or a temporary resident visa is an official immigration document issued to foreign nationals, allowing them to travel to and enter Canada as a visitor for up to 6 months. Most of the foreign nationals need visitor visa to enter Canada whether they are coming as a student, temporary worker or simply for tourism, unless they are from visa exempt countries. Canada has an agreement with several countries that exempt citizens of those countries from needing a visa to visit Canada for a period of up to six months. Foreign nationals from visa-exempt countries need Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada by air.
Super Visa is a long-term, multiple entry visa for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents. A super visa allows parents and grandparents to visit their children and grandchildren in Canada for up to 2 years at a time. It is a multi-entry visa for a period up to 10 years.
Our team can help you apply for visitor or super visa.
